A highly distinctive hand woven textile design company, established
by Lauren Crawford after graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone in 2007. From her newly established
studio in Fife, and as the Designer in Residence at Duncan of Jordanstone, College of Art and Design, Dundee, Lauren designs
and creates unique fabrics and fashion accessories for all occasions. All
fabrics and products are produced using a 16 shaft
AVL Production Dobby Loom.
Designed
and produced using luxury silks and woollen fibres, products include opulent scarves, skinny scarves, collars, wedding shawls
and garters. All accessories are specially designed, made and finished by hand using a combination of traditional
and innovative weaving structures and techniques to complete each signature fabric and product.
Lauren displays work
at a number of galleries across the UK and has exhibited at trade shows and festival events in both the UK and USA.
Exhibitions to date have included, New Designers, London, Direction Show in New York, The British Craft Trade Fair, Harrogate,
One Year On at New Designers and Designer Crafts at the Mall Galleries, London. At Direction Show, Lauren
successfully sold designs to Macys, the world famous department store.
More recently, after completing the Starter for 6 training programme, Lauren
received funding from NESTA, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts. As a member of Creativefife and the
Society of Designer Craftsmen, Lauren has also received support from PSYBT, the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust.
